My blood pressure was NORMAL!!!!!!
I had my dr’s appt today to get weighed and my blood pressure checked. I have been going every 2 weeks since November 27th. That appointment was a real wakeup call. My weight was at an all time high, 181, and my blood pressure was scarily high. This was suppose to be my yearly checkup. Now I had to go every 2 weeks until I could get things under control or I was going to need medication! This was serious. It was go time.
I started doing all the things I should have been doing all along. I kept going back every 2 weeks and although the scale was finally moving in the right direction, my blood pressure was still high. Not as high as the first time but still high enough that the Dr. wanted to keep checking it every 2 weeks.
So, I went to the Dr. today—-drum roll please—-and my BLOOD PRESSURE WAS NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!! I had lost another 3.5 lbs–keep in mind that is for 2 weeks but hey, I will take it! Since that first appt last November 27, a little less than 2 months ago, I have lost 18 lbs! I am FINALLY doing this. It’s amazing how a scare can get you motivated. However–it’s all of my buddies that have KEPT me going so I thank you so much for all of your support, inspiration, motivation, and understanding. I am on my way to a healthier me and I KNOW I am going to do it because I have you guys with me along for the ride!!!!!! And who know, I may even get to wear that size 6 slinky black dress some day! ![]()
Yeah!!!! Good for you!!!! Start shopping for that size 6 black dress!!!
Yes, it’s working. Congrats on the normal BP.
I just noticed that you spent last Thanksgiving in Hawaii. We were there too! In Kauai.
Now get busy and start running again. The dress is waiting for you. Forget about pirogies.
Way to Go Brenda!!! Isn’t it exciting to have results?? Especially ones that show how much healthier you’ve become??? KUDOS!!!! I’m so excited for you!!! Even more about the blood pressure than the weightloss!!
Yes!!! I am very proud of you!!!
I’m so glad your BP was normal - your heart has a lot of energy and love in there - it makes you a great buddy and now you’re being great to it! Keep it up and you will be slinking!!!
Great job on getting your bp down!!! I know how it is having a bp scare as all 3 of my pregnancies caused my bp to go up and after this last one its still been riding high. They wanted me on meds and I don’t want to be, so I’m gonna lose it, like you! Great job on your 18lb loss!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Way to go Brenda, I am so proud of you! You are doing so great! I agree that you should go buy that black dress and hang it where you can see it! That would be the ultimate motivation! You are so close!

LOL now im am kidding. anyway, you have that motivation and drive in you that nobody can taint. its lovely!!!! haha sorry i just got out of english class and we were talking about cliche’s, well, i wear my heart on my sleeve, and the glass is always half full, and i will die without you. haha

anyway… back to the subject. i am very proud of you, i feel like u are an extended member of my family
cant wait to hear ur feedback on the cds!!!!!! wooohoooo!!! u must know one thing though, i dont like music that doesnt have a message, all of the songs i pick have messages in their lyrics (unless they just have an amazing beat)
so looking up the lyrics to the songs might be beneficial

Congrats and keep up the good work!
I have high blood pressure as well and I’ve been trying to stay healthy and get on track. I’m so glad that your appointment came back saying that you had normal blood pressure! That is awesome hun. Woohoo! I can’t wait till I can say the same thing. I’m 21 and probably going to need to go on blood pressure medication soon if mine doesn’t whip into shape as well! Amen for the weight loss as well…you are doing GREAT!!!!
